Jamie Elmore is a Seattle-based hairstylist, alopecia advocate, best-selling author, and Editor-in-Chief of Bald Life Magazine.
With over 30 years of professional experience, she is the owner of JSalon in Seattle, Washington, and is globally recognized for her work supporting individuals navigating hair loss.
Diagnosed with alopecia in 2004, Jamie transformed her personal journey into a purpose-driven mission focused on confidence restoration, education, and community healing.
In 2009, she founded the Alopecia Support Group, creating a supportive space for women, men, and children impacted by hair loss.
She later expanded her impact by creating the Bald Boss Community and launching Bald Life Magazine, a global platform celebrating baldness due to alopecia, cancer, or choice.
Jamie’s work has been featured on the Emmy-winning Red Table Talk and VH1’s Black Ink Crew: Los Angeles. She served as Executive Producer of the documentary Harmony: Alopecia Stories, and has contributed to multiple publications as a writer and thought leader.
In 2021, she was honored as Soul Café Publisher of the Year for her influence in advocacy, storytelling, and community empowerment.
Today, Jamie continues to serve as a motivational speaker, alopecia confidence coach, and mentor, offering workshops, retreats, and coaching experiences that help individuals reclaim confidence and live boldly—hair or no hair.
